PvE side by side

ClassNotMeter KR/TW (800k+ combat power, 100 = average)NotMeter Global week 1Moxsy Global rank (8 Oct)Kanon (KR, late Sep)Blazeon (after the Aug patch)

Templar93.475.87BA
Chanter86.91001BB
Cleric70.759.38C (S in value)A
Brawler (KR/TW)110.3

Moxsy's ranking is the average place across Fire Temple, Ferocious Horn Den and Transcendence stage 4 bosses, damage only, so tanks and healers sit at the bottom by design.

Why Global looks different

  • Chanter's main skill gets a near-zero cooldown at level 16 early on, while other damage classes rely on more Stigma slots and level 20 Stigmas Global doesn't have yet (Moxsy).
  • Assassin and Spiritmaster scale the most with combat power. At 1,000k+ on KR, Assassin is first.
  • Assassin is the hardest to play well in real fights: melee, from behind, squishy. Some hard groups turn Assassins down because a bad one is hard to tell from a good one.

What decides PvE rankings

  1. Fight shape: short fights favor burst, long moving fights favor ranged. Kanon found Conquest melee-friendly and raids ranged-friendly.
  2. Gear bracket: see above.
  3. Weekly balance: KR patches nudge the last-place class up each week. Nobody stays more than about 10% behind (TheWhelps).
  4. Bosses resist 30 to 40% of Strike and almost no Perfect (NotMeter).
Ludra world first (Global, 4 Oct): damage share by class

Global's first clear of the 10-player raid, 4 minutes 37 seconds, recorded by NotMeter. One fight with one group, so roles matter (the Templar tanked, the Clerics healed). It is not a class ranking.

ClassShare of boss HP
Chanter18.0%
Sorcerer13.7%
Templar11.7%
Assassin11.5%
Chanter11.0%
Spiritmaster9.9%
Gladiator9.0%
Ranger7.1%
Cleric4.2%
Cleric3.8%

The most geared character did the most damage, and combat power counted for more than class: on Global's week 1 boss boards, players above 110,000 combat power dealt about twice their class median. NCSOFT pulled the raid on 7 Oct to bring it back reworked.

  • Gear decides most fights. With equal gear: who opens, who lands crowd control, cooldowns, consumables (TheWhelps).
  • Abyss Points are split by contribution. Small fights pay up to 1,000 a kill, a siege kill 1 to 10, so classes that win small fights earn the most.
  • Large-scale PvP is about 2 hours a week (sieges Wednesday and Saturday).

Coming from KR/TW

The 14 Oct KR patch, not on Global yet:

  • Every class's Assault skill (the dash attack) now gives Defense and all elemental resistances up to 80% for 5 seconds, scaling with targets hit (was Defense up to 20%), and cooldown reduction no longer applies to it.
  • Block and evade stances lose 0.3 seconds of cooldown per successful block or evade.
  • Spiritmaster, Sorcerer and Cleric attacks now carry an element.

NCSOFT Korea's goal: give melee a role in faction battles. Global usually gets KR changes later and not always in the same form.
