Abyss and PvP
The modes, Abyss time, Abyss Points and PvP gear

The modes
| Mode | Format | Gear matters? | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duels | Anyone nearby | Yes | Nothing at stake. Good for learning your class against players |
| Spacetime Rift | Invade the enemy's map for up to an hour | Yes | You can enter flagged for PvE. Walking near enemy guards flags you for the rest of that rift |
| Arena 1v1 | Ranked, first to 3 rounds | Yes | Templar, Assassin and Gladiator rule it. 500 Abyss Points a win, queue as often as you like |
| Arena 5v5 | Ranked, full party | Yes | Less popular |
| Battlefield | 10v10 capture the flag, set times only | No, normalized | Weekly: 3 win rewards (3,000 points each) and 3 for taking part (1,000). Resets Wednesday |
| The Abyss | Always-on PvP zone with monsters and bosses | Yes | See below |
Which classes do well in each: Class tier lists.
The Abyss
| Map on Global | Lower Reshanta |
| Needs | Level 45 and item level 1,000 |
| Time | About 7 hours a week. Each map has its own timer |
| More time | Lower Abyss Rift Stones: +1 hour each. Use them as soon as you get them: the hour is added to your timer and stays, and Lower Abyss and Abyss time are the same timer, so saving them only risks the 7-day expiry |
| Danger | Dying costs only time. Enemy players can kill you anywhere outside your base |
KR already has Middle Reshanta (item level 3,000, gliding only) and a capped Upper Reshanta. Global doesn't yet.
Where Abyss Points come from
| Source | Points | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Abyss Command Missions | Points plus a reward you pick | 20 a week from the Command Merchant in the Abyss. Do them right after the reset, in zones near your base |
| Abyss Corridor | about 18,000 to 20,000 a run | One run per Artifact your faction holds, until the next siege (Wednesday and Saturday). Enter the Abyss early, there's a cap |
| Battlefield | 3,000 a win, 1,000 for taking part | 3 of each a week |
| World boss gear | 21,000 to 100,000 for one or two pieces | Esc > Abyss Supply Request > Boss. Worth more as points than as gear once you've outgrown it |
| Supply Request hand-ins | Small | Low-level crafts and gathered materials. Savvvo got 3,900 for 10 cooked dishes |
| Enemy-side strongholds and sealed dungeons (through Rifts) | about 170,000 if you do all of them (notXeon) | One-time per character |
| Abyss field bosses | Loot and points | Contested by the other faction. The most damage gets the most loot |
| Kills | Up to 1,000 in small fights, 1 to 10 in a siege | Split by contribution |
The faction that holds more Artifacts gets more Corridor runs, which is why the stronger faction on a server out-earns the other. Solo players feel this most.
What to buy with them
- Stigma Shards (Shop > Trade > Development): the most combat power per point. The price rises every 50 shards.
- Daevanion Crystals for the PvP board.
- Wings.
- Abyss skins: owning one gives PvP stats (PvP damage boost and tolerance) to every character on the account. Alts can buy them for you.
See Combat power.
PvP gear
- Abyss gear has set bonuses (2, 5, 8 and 12 pieces). Each step adds PvP damage. 땅우양 calls the 8-piece armor plus 5-piece accessory set the most efficient target. Weapons don't count toward the set.
- Every Abyss piece has PvP damage resistance. Mixing in good PvE pieces is fine, item level matters too.
- Skip the lowest tiers. Upgrading from the first tier barely discounts the next one, so start buying at the Legion Commander tier (KR advice).
| Order | Slot | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cloak | Cheap, strong stats |
| 2 | Guard | Fully upgraded it gives up to +10% PvP damage. Armor and accessory pieces give 0.5 to 2% each |
| 3 | Gloves, then the rest of the armor | |
| 4 | Accessories | Cheap |
| 5 | Weapon | Mostly raw attack. Use a good PvE weapon until then |
- Medals are the bottleneck for the higher tiers. Platinum medals come from scheduled field bosses, Rifts and Artifact events: show up to all of them. Light players say they run out of Kinah before medals.
- Pick your Arcana direction (evasion or accuracy) before you equip PvP cards. A "stronger" card that breaks the set can make you weaker.
- PvP Soul Binding lines: Status Effect Chance and Resist, Weapon Damage Tolerance. See Gear upgrades.
