How it works now (since 2026-10-07)

  • The 2026-10-07 patch added a Founder's Pack tab to the in-game shop (Shop > Founder's Pack). Any character on any server can "buy" the cosmetics of the tier you own for free (Drybear, 2026-10-07).
  • Items a character already owns can't be bought again. Duplicates that end up in a bag will get a discard option later, and they don't count against the paid skin purchase limit.
  • The tab stays until NC posts a closure notice; there's no end date yet.

How claiming works (verified 2026-10-02)

  • A "Claim Pro…" icon next to the minimap opens a "Claim Product" window ("AION 2 Ultimate Founder's Pack x1", with Cancel and Claim).
  • Nothing is redeemed until you press Claim.
  • We haven't seen an expiry on this claim. It's separate from the mailbox rewards, which do expire.

Upgrading to a higher tier

  • Purple: you can upgrade your pack to a higher tier.
  • Steam: buy the higher tier on the same account, then ask Customer Support to refund the cheaper pack.
History: the old binding and the 2026-10-03 announcement

Around 2026-10-03, NC announced that Founder's Pack cosmetics would work on every character on the account, replacing the old binding. It said the change "may still take several days" and would land after Early Access; the free shop tab on 2026-10-07 was that change.

Open questions from then that NC never answered in writing: whether the Eternal Sun skin still locks to the weapon type picked on opening, and whether there's any advantage to leaving the pack unclaimed.

What players thought of the Ultimate pack

The official 55 s "Founder's Pack - Ultimate" trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHiYGWCjV50, about 128k views) has no speech. Its 120 top comments are mostly negative:

  • No premium currency and no subscription included (the most-liked complaint, 103 likes).
  • The skins are disliked: "ugly", "worst skins in all packs".
  • Price vs value: FRESHY called it "very disappointing for a 85 EUR founders pack".
  • Annoyance that launch moved to October, and at the "pack + sub + battle pass + P2W" stacking.

Divium Furor's view (August 2026): for players who want to progress, the pack was "a must", because the early-access servers would gather the dedicated players and win faction wars. See Divium Furor's videos.
